準國民黨總統參選人、立法院副院長洪秀柱6月24日發表聲明,不滿周玉蔻、壹週刊爆料指稱她的美國碩士學歷造假,委託律師對周玉蔻、壹週刊雜誌社長、總編輯、撰稿記者提出加重誹謗罪告訴。
洪秀柱另不滿名嘴溫紳指稱她的父親洪子瑜不是白色恐怖受難者,還寫自首書害很多無辜的人被牽連。因此她控告溫紳涉妨害名譽。
